The LE19R86BDX by Samsung is an HD Ready, 19-inch, Liquid Crystal Display digital television set that delivers a crisp and clear image at a resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels, visible from a fairly meager 160-degree viewing area. Included is Samsung’s DNIe, or “Digital Natural Image engine” technology, designed to optimize motion, improve color, reduce noise, and improve image clarity.
In the always-important area of sound, this unit is designed to provide you with economic audio options. This television is inclusive of two 3-watt audio outputs and SRS TruSurround processing for “on the front lines” surround sound and even a three-dimensional stereo or mono experience. You’re going to satisfied with the audio that this television set produces. If you tend to use headphones when you watch your television, you’ll be pleased to know that this particular model does include a headphone connection.
In terms of connectivity the LE19R86BDX may not be at the forefront, but it will definitely do its job with precision. This unit offers a wide variety if not a large number of connectivity options. With one HDMI connector, one composite AV input, one component connection, one RF in, one PC video input port, one S-Video in, one SCART port, and one optical output for high quality surround sound audio systems. Replete with connectivity options, you are most likely to find what you are looking for in this fully adequate model from Samsung.
I could not find an expected lifetime in the full specifications given on the Samsung website. While plasma televisions do seem to outlive LCDs, it’s hard for me to imagine that a television manufactured today wouldn’t be able to handle basic wear and tear. There will almost certainly be new broadcast technologies available for high-end consumers before this unit reaches its golden years.
Completing the puzzle for this model, as with most Samsung televisions, are a handful of fairly standard features such as small Picture In Picture, Still Picture, Game Mode, an auto volume leveler, and more. This television also comes with a <1-watt energy saving standby mode. In the end, this model should really meet your needs with relative simplicity.
